Rudy Van Parijs, President
Rudy’s career at Avnet spans nearly 30 years. Before becoming President of Avnet Abacus in 2018, he was responsible for running EBV Southern Europe. After graduating in electronics engineering, Rudy began his career at the University of Leuven, moved on to a start-up, then to a local Belgian distributor before joining EBV as a Field Application Engineer in 1991. Since then he has occupied a number of senior roles, including managing the Benelux region and leading the technical organisation of EBV in Poing (while completing his Corporate Finance degree).
Hagen Goetze, Senior Director Marketing
Hagen Goetze, Senior Director Marketing at Avnet Abacus, has leadership of Supplier and Product Management, EMEA Quote Centre Organisation, Marketing Communications and overall Technical Marketing strategy.
Hagen holds a degree in business administration. Before he started at Avnet in 2006, he worked in Project Management, Sales and Purchasing roles in building services engineering, Telecommunications and Electronic Manufacturing business.
Gitta Buecher, Asset Director
Gitta has always worked in distribution, occupying a number of senior roles in marketing, asset and procurement. After graduating with a degree in business administration, she began her career with Astronic and moved to Arrow three years later. She joined Avnet Abacus in 2012 as Asset Manager for Germany, assuming the role EMEA Asset manager before becoming Director in 2019.
Katharina Bauer, Business Controller
Katharina Bauer is the Business Controller for Avnet Abacus, focussing on the key financial drivers of the business and how they can be improved. Prior to becoming Avnet Abacus Business Controller, she spent over ten years as Financial Analyst for Avnet United and Avnet Silica. She has a Masters degree in business and previously held a similar role at A/T/G - Allgemeine Treuhand- & Wirtschaftsberatungs GmbH.
Kieron Murdock, Regional VP North
Kieron Murdock, Regional VP North for Avnet Abacus, is responsible for the Nordics and UK & Ireland regions. Previously Director of Avnet Abacus UK & Ireland, Kieron has a 15 year track record in component distribution. He joined Abacus Group in 2003 as Subsidiary Manager for Abacus Solent and was subsequently appointed Regional Sales Manager, for UK south. Earlier in his career he was an Account Manager at Rutronik.
Mario Merino, Regional VP South
Mario Merino, Regional VP South, is responsible for Benelux, Iberia, France and Italy. Previously Regional Director Iberia, he studied Electronics and Software Telecom Engineering and began his career as an electronics designer for Eliop in 1992. Four years later he joined SEI ADM as an FAE for Xilinx.
His career with Avnet began in 2000 when he moved into the role of Technical Manager at Avnet Memec and later as Portugal Sales Manager for Silica. He was appointed as Iberia Sales Manager for Avnet Abacus in 2013. Mario also has responsibility for the business of Avnet Silica in Iberia.
Dejan Antic, General Sales Manager East Europe
As General Sales Manager East Europe, Dejan Antic is responsible for executing sales strategy and growth in Eat Europe. He has Masters degrees in electrical and computer engineering and business administration from the University of Novi Sad and Cardiff Metropolitan University respectively.
Dejan previously held roles with electronics companies in Belgrade, Serbia before joining EBV in 2017. In July 2019 he assumed a South East Europe role with Avnet Abacus, before taking responsibility for the whole region in January 2020.
Henrik Günther, Nordic Director
Henrik Günther, Nordic Director at Avnet Abacus, was previously Managing Director of Abacus Conelec, a specialist electromechanical distribution business in the Nordic region.
He joined Conelec in 1993 as Sales Manager, a position that he continued to hold when the business was sold to Deltron. When Abacus acquired Deltron in 2006, he was promoted to Managing Director. Günther started his career with Tyco Electronics in 1987 in an external sales position.
Laurent Meunier-Beillard, Country Director - France
Laurent Meunier-Beillard, Country Director, France at Avnet Abacus, has thirty years’ experience in sales and marketing for IPE components, working at both distributors and manufacturers.
He joined Avnet Time in 2003 as Business Development Manager for power products and was subsequently appointed as Technical Marketing Manager. Prior to this he had marketing and sales positions at Chloride, Convergie and UR group.
Eddy Bollaart, Country Director, Netherlands
Eddy Bollart began his career in the electronics industry in 1990. He has a Bachelors degree in electronics, and has held positions in Rodelco (a Sonepar company) and Future Electronics. Bollaart joined Avnet Time in 2007 as a Regional Sales Manager, and following the acquisition of Abacus in 2009 he held various roles before his appointment as Regional Director Benelux in January 2017.
Joanne Ward - General Sales Manager, UK & Ireland
Ward began her career as an internal sales advisor at National Semiconductor (now Texas Instruments), based in the UK. Four years later, in 1995, she moved to Abacus (now Avnet Abacus) where she has since held diverse roles. Her initial appointment was in marketing, where she successfully performed a variety of supplier management roles of increasing seniority, developing a specialism and expertise in IP&E products to support customers and suppliers across a number of market sectors. In 2009, Ward moved into full-time frontline sales and from here progressed through the business from field sales, sales management and, immediately prior to this latest appointment, to the role of CEM sales manager for the UK and Ireland. Ward took on the new position of General Sales Manager UK and Ireland in July 2020.
Neil Munns, Supply Chain Director
Neil is responsible for the design and execution of Avnet Abacus’ customer supply chain solutions across EMEA. He joined Avnet United in 2006, managing Tier 1 customer engagement, before moving to Avnet Abacus in 2016.
