Brexit preparation at Avnet in EMEA

Information for Customers and Suppliers regarding United Kingdom’s exit from the European Union

We are fully aware of the potential risks associated with the UK attempting to leave the European Union. We assume the same responsibility as previously communicated to ensure continuity in our supply of goods to our customers, whether in the UK or the EU. Avnet’s business units and logistics department are working together very closely and have identified all necessary actions to execute to any scenario. Rest assured that Avnet will do its utmost to find the least disruptive solutions for our customers both in the UK and in the EU.

February 2020 Update:

The UK formally left the European Union on 31 January 2020. During the 11-month transition period which began on the 1. February and is due to end on 31 December 2020, the UK continues to follow all of the EU's rules and its trading relationship remains the same.

By having a multi warehouse footprint in Europe we are able to minimise potential impact on our customers. Most of our inventory sits either in Germany or in Belgium, which signifies business as usual to all European customers and a slight change of procedure to UK customers (please ask your Avnet Sales Representative for information or assistance).

For inventory remaining in our UK warehouse (Avnet Abacus only), we have also taken measures to minimize the impact for our customers. Please ask your Avnet Abacus Sales Representative for assistance.
